Thank you to our Donor

How does a project like Island Lives get created? It starts with individuals having a passion for their home province and a desire to share the stories of Prince Edward Islanders and their communities with the world.

Island Lives could not have been possible without the support of a generous private donation. The Robertson Library would like to acknowledge the importance of this particular donation and its impact on the Library, the University of Prince Edward Island, and the broader Island community and indeed those around the world with an interest in the Island.

These funds enabled the Robertson Library to innovate, to provide exceptional information services, and provide access to unique content for the Island and wider community. With these private funds, the library created a state-of-the-art digitization facility, hired staff to create an award-winning software infrastructure, and digitized many of the published community histories of Prince Edward Island.

The Island Lives project builds on the Robertson Library's mission to preserve and share unique material relating to Prince Edward Island. It demonstrates UPEI's ongoing commitment to making PEI's cultural and published heritage available to all.

If you want to contribute to the Robertson Library's ongoing success, please contact Donald Moses, University Librarian.
