It was hoped that an adult-styled (a la Playboy) theme would bring tourists in droves. The waitresses employed were dressed in skimpy kitten costumes which were tame by mainland standards but created a sensation on P.E.I. An underage MacClure was photographed for the Star with two of the waitresses and a tray of drinks. The club did not last long, as it took a net loss of $30,578.38 in its first year of operation.
