     Chaisson, Krista Chaisson, Kelly Fogarty, Kerri Fogarty, Jeanette Gallant, 
     
     Shelly MacDonald, Tanya MacGregor, Tammi MacNeill, Cindy MacPhee 
     
     Julie Mallard, Lori Munroe, Paula Paquet, Shelley Paquet, Michele Pilon 
     
     Suann Roach, coaches Waldron Leard and Brendon MacCormack. Latet 
     
     that fall, a core group of players from this team won the P.E.1 
     
     Interscholastic Silver Medal for Souris Regional High, the highest placing

     43. Ian Millar’s mother Doris (nee MacDonald) was born in Souris, th 
     
     daughter of Dr. Fred and Ella (nee Matthew) MacDonald. Ian, who reside 
     
     in Ontario, is well-known world-wide for his partnership with “Big Ben” 
     
     Mrs. Millar makes her home in Brudenell.

     45. The Souris Regional High School Spartans football team defeate 
     
     the Colonel Gray Colonels 27-12 in October of 1970 at Montague. Thi 
     
     game was remarkable for many reasons. Souris dressed only 13 player: 
     
     while Colonel Gray had a full complement of 40 or more players. Colone 
     
     Gray had not lost a game since 1967. Souris was playing on a borrowe 
     
     field as their home field was under construction. Finally, the week prior t 
     
     this game, Souris had lost to the same team 50-7 in Charlottetown. Th 
     
     team that day included Harold “Huck” Bailey, Allie Gallant, Ernie Gallan 
     
     John “Mousie” Gallant, Brian Jennings, Shane MacClure, Ambro
