Butterscotch Sauce

Ingredients:

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup boiling water

2 tablespoons butter

Pinch nutmeg

Several drops lemon juice (May substitute drop of vinegar for lemon juice)

Method:

1. Mix together sugar, cornstarch, and salt in a saucepan 2. Add boiling water

3. Stir until smooth mixture

4. Bring to a boil

5. Add butter, nutmeg and lemon juice and mix

6. Serve hot over pudding
