CHURCH OF SCOTLAND The Church of Scotland was built in 1855 and still has the same shingles on the outside walls. People came from across the Island to attend the Sacrament Sunday held the first Sunday in July. An open ended horse shed approximately 100f feet long was used during the horse and buggy age to allow people access to this church while under cover of the elements. This shed was relocated to Kenny MacDougalls, Argyle Shore , in the 1950!s. In 1988 the Church was lifted in order to dig a basement and build a concrete foundation thereby replacing the original Island Stone foundation.
