REV. DONALD G. WILKINSON , L.Th ., our fourth minister, was born in Glasgow, Scotland . He was raised in the Church of Scotland where he worked with the Boys' Brigade. He transferred to the United Free Church of Scotland, where he became an elder. Prior to studying for the ministry, he acquired thirteen years' experience in the business world — working in the architectural and heavy engineering fields. In 1972 he entered Glasgow University from which he received his L.Th . (Licentiate of Theology) in 1977. His first pastoral charge was in Dunfermline, Scotland , where he served for seven years. Rev. Mr. Wilkinson emigrated to Canada with his wife Joy and daughter Marian in Rev. October 1984 to accept a call to the three- point charge of Komoka, , and Mt. Brydges (near London, Ontario ). He left there to accept a call from the Marshfield- Sherwood charge. The Wilkinson family arrived in Sherwood on December 1st, 1989, and Rev. Mr. Wilkinson was inducted by the Presbytery of P.E.I , on December 5th, 1989. Joy Wilkinson was born in the Orkney Isles, Scotland — a daughter of the manse. She is a trained nurse and midwife, having nursed for twenty-five years in Scotland . Marian, daughter of Rev. Donald and Mrs. Joy Wilkinson , was born in Dundee , Scotland .
