     The Women’s Institutes of Prince Edward Island 
     
     have a long history of worthy accomplishments: That history 
     
     is closely associated with the voluntary services of women 
     
     in every part of the Province, who have by their dedicated] 
     
     effort raised the level of our Home and Community life. 
     
    
   
   
    
     The brief story of this fine development herewith. 
     
     presented provides only in part, an intimate account of the 
     
     growth of the Women’s Institutes and their work over the 
     
     last half century. 
     
    
   
   
    
     I very heartily congratulate the Executive of a fine. 
     
     public spirited organization for the preparation of this 
     
     publication and commend it to the consideration of all who 
     
     are interested in a splendid achievement on behalf of the
