The 1891 census shows that Sarah was a widow and a farmer. The family was Methodist and living with Sarah were her sons, Henry, age 29, and Samuel Walter , age 12; her daughter Ella, age 17; and Penzy Quigley , age 8. Henry is listed as a farmer. There are 2 unmarked graves in Horatio's plot in the Tryon Peoples Cem., most likely those of their children, Maggie and Susannah.
