Chisholm Family

William Alexander Chisholm b. Scotland, 1844, d. 1916, bur. North Tryon Presbyterian Cem., m.Jane Ann Morrison, b. 1849, d. 1911, bur. North Tryon Presbyterian Cem., daughter ofjames William Morrison

and Ella Lea Leard. See Morrison history. William landed with his parents at Pictou, NS, from Scotland, in

1852. They settled in Sunny Brae, NS. William moved to Prince Edward Island in 1861 and joined Alexander Morrison in the furniture making business. William built a house to the east of the furniture factory on the Bedeque road on land formerly owned by Thomas Ives. The house was divided when William’s sonJames marriedJean Roblee andJames and Jean lived in the east side. An addition to the house was used for some time as a post office and Jean was the post mistress.

William Chisholm and Ann Morrison had 9 children:
