David converted the house into 2 apartments. The Giesbrechts returned to the north the following year, this time to , , where they stayed for 4 years. Judy, David and Kathy returned to North Tryon in 1982. They live on the former Esso Service Station site where David has converted the station to a workshop and added a second story apartment.
