Thomas b. 1813, d. 14 July 1866, bur. Crapaud Cem., son ofJohn Inman and Rebecca Duke, m. Barbara Clark, b. 1815, d. 6 Sept 1899, bur. Crapaud Cem., daughter of Michael Clark and Sarah Gamble.

Thomas Inman and Barbara Clark had 10 children:

Rebecca b. 11 May 1840, m. George Inman.They had 4 children.

James b. 1 Nov 1841, d. 24 Dec 1911, lst. m. Emily Clark. They lived in Crapaud and had 1 child; James 2nd. m. Hannah MacQuarrie, daughter of Donald MacQuarn'e and Ann Farquharson. They lived in Hampton and had 1 child.

John b. 19 Aug 1843, m. Elizabeth Heartz.They had 3 children.

George b. 7 Feb 1845, m. Elizabeth Stordy, daughter of Thomas Stordy andJane Wood. They lived in Lot 16 and had 3 children: Fred; Herbert; May.

Sarah b.c. 1847, d. 15 June 1908, m. Alexander MacFarland. They lived in Argyle Shore.

Job b. 31 Dec 1860, d. 30 Apr 1939, m. Ida Mary Dawson, b. 4 March 1861, d. 18 Apr 1939, daughter of Benjamin Dawson and Stukley Mary Howatt. They settled in Augustine Cove and had 2 children. See Dawson history.

Major b. 19 Sept 1849, d. 1 March 1914, bur. Crapaud Anglican Cem., son of Thomas Inman and Barbara Clark, m. 25 July 1877 Eliza MacDonald, b. 4 Nov 1852, d. 21 Feb 1934, bur. Crapaud Anglican Cem., daughter ofJoseph MacDonald and Phoebe Percival.

Major bought the Joseph MacWilliams Jr. farm and house on the Crossroad in 1877. The Inmans employed MacKenzie Bros. in 1887 to build a new house which is the present Vernon Inman house. This house was built close to the river and later moved up the hill nearer the Crossroad. Major had a mixed farming operation. Major and Eliza were members of the Tryon United Church.
