Eliza Ann Margaret b. 1839, d. 1926, lst. m. J Albert Brace; 2nd. In. her sister’s widower, Josiah Howatt. Margaret and Albert lived in Summerside and founded Brace and MacKay Company.

Stephen b. 1831, d. 1912/22, son of James Benjamin Leard and Margaret MacWilliams, m. 1855 Harriet Wood, b. 16 Feb 1837, d. 17 March 1917, daughter of William Wood and Charlotte Gouldrup. See Wood history.

Stephen inherited the family farm as well as acquiring farm land to the north of the Leard property when his wife, Harriet, upon the death of her brother Joseph, inher- ited his land.

Harriet and Ste- phen lived in the Joseph Wood home- stead. In his senior years, Stephen lived with Mae and Harry Clark in Victoria. Stephen and Harriet were members of the
