Nettie and Bruce first lived in Manitoba where Bruce had a retail business, then Fredericton, NB, where they owned a general store. Nettie was a practical nurse. They retired on PEI.

North Carleton, 11 Feb 1892, d. 20 Nov 1985, bur. Cape Traverse Free Church of Scotland Cem., daughter ofjohn Manson and Mary Clark.

Max and Georgie lived on the home farm. Their house was always open for visitors. The Lefurgey house was the Community Hall to the teenagers in the area in the 1930s and 19405. Sleep overs were common, not for one night, but usually for a week end! Max and Georgie were great entertainers and Toots was always willing to chord on the piano while others joined in on guitar, juice harp, and the spoons, to accom- pany a sing song. Max sold the farm land in 1968 to Myron Dawson, Eric Robinson, and Arthur Thomson. Max and Georgie continued to reside in the house with their daughter Toots, her husband Fred Mitchell, and their family. Georgie was a Charter Member of the North Tryon Women’s Institute, and both Max and Georgie were members of the Tryon United Baptist Church.
