Ford had no children. Mildred worked in the publication business in the Toronto and

Chicago areas and later entered the nursing profession in Toronto.

Lord Family

John Lord Sr. m. Elizabeth Cotterell/Cottrell. John and Elizabeth came from England to Massachusetts, then Annapolis, NS, settling at Tryon in 1773 where the present day United Church stands.

John, a Loyalist settler, had in his hire a black slave, Richard Biers, whom he had brought with him. It was not common for slaves to make wills; however Richard made a will stating:

I give and devise to Elizabeth Lord ...... my 2 cows that I am to receive from john Lord S7“. for part of my wages.

John Lord and Elizabeth Cotterell had 6 children:
