James Manson b. 29 Aug 1857, d. 23 May 1932, bur. Cape Traverse Church of Scotland, son of Gilbert MacNeil and Ann Manson, 111. Margaret Manson, b. 15 Oct 1862, d. 24 Aug 1949, bur. Cape Traverse Church of Scotland, daughter of Alexander and Anna Manson.

Manson was living with his AuntJane Manson, age 70, in Lot 27, in the 1891 census. He was a farmer. Manson and Margaret MacNeil retired from the USA to North Tryon to a house that had been the post office part of the William Chisholm house. This part of the house had been moved across the road for Heath and Ruby Chisholm. The MacNeils had no children, and retired nearJean Roblee Chisholm who had been raised by Margaret MacNeil’s parents, Alexander and Anna Manson, Lot 27. Margaret was also a sister to John Manson, father of Georgia Manson Lefurgey. See Chisholm and Lefurgey history.
