M< orrison Family The June 10, 1834 edition of the Royal Gazette advertises J.B. Morri ¬ son of Tryon as a chairmaker. Alex F. Morrison also advertises his trade of chairmaker on June 23, 1835. No further reference to these gentle¬ men has been found. The following quotation is found in Past and Present: Alexander Morrison never left, his native Scotland , but three brothers and a sister came to Tryon , PEI , in 1839 where Adam engaged in carpentry, his brothers following the tailor trade. It would seem the Morrison brothers were: Adam b.c. 1815; James b. 1823; and Robert b. 1831. An A. Morrison and a J. Morrison lived on the road to on the 1863 Island map. Robert must have settled elsewhere. 253
