The only information available about John is the following article that appeared in the Agriculturist llJan 1908:]0hn M Pooley, formerly of Tryon and now of the Yukon is on the Island again aflera honeymoon trip of a month or so. He is a brother-in-law of Mr. Charles R Dickey of Lot 15 and he has been very successful in his new home. At present he is interested in a big silver proposition at Windy Arm, about 40 miles south of White Horse and 67 miles from Shaguay, which he expects to be a winner.

Richard Pooley and Mary Pratt lived in the Richard Sr. house. Mary had a knitting machine that knit tubes. The ladies bought these by the yard and added the feet for socks. Richard Jr., who was nearly blind, managed to make wall plaques, stands for holding spools of thread, and other small articles, with the help of his sons. He sold these items door to door and in spite of this handicap provided a living for his family.

Pearl was a housekeeper in Tryon for her brother Austin at the time of her marriage. Pearl and Frank lived in Hunter River, moving to Winnipeg in 1913. Pearl m. 1919 George Brennan.

McGuflie. They had 4 children. Wendell 2nd. m. 1947June Clark. They had 1 daughter.
