Newcastle, NB, 26 March 1944, daughter of William Matchett and Sarah Vye . John attended UNB where he received a BSc in Chemical Engineer¬ ing before returning to the family farm in 1966. Hazel taught school in NB before moving to PEL She has a BMus degree from UPEI. Hazel and John live on the Crossroad to the south of the North Tryon School. They are members of the Tryon United Baptist Church and Hazel is a Life Member of the North Tryon Women's Institute.
