Dan Palmer, lived with them after their marriage. Art bought the Henry Dawson farm from Merritt Dawson’s widow, Lavina, in 1943. Art and Glen moved into the house in 1944 and lived there until 1976 when they retired from farming, sold their farm to Art’s brother, Raymond, and moved to the Arthur Dawson house. The Henry Dawson house was demolished in 1985. Art and Glen grew potatoes, turnips, and also had cattle on their farm. Both take an active part in community life, and are members of the North Tryon Presbyterian Church. Since moving in 1976, they have continued Arthur Dawson’s tradition of having a large, beautiful flower garden each year beside their home. Glen is a Life Member of the North Tryon Women’s Institute.

Carol and Ronnie live in Bedeque. Carol is a teacher at Somerset Elementary School in Kinkora, Ronnie is a radar technician with Marine Atlantic in Borden.

Carol Thomson and Ronald Rayner had 3 children: Gwenn Elizabeth b. 15 Apr 1964, m. 23 June 1990 Andrew Good,

Toronto. Gwenn is a respiratory therapist at Mount Sinai Hospital,

Toronto. Weston Arthur b. 24 Nov 1966. Weston has a BSc in Agricultural Engineering, and has a management position at McCain Foods PEI

plant. Tracy Lynn b. 24 Apr 1971, a nursing student at Dalhousie Univer-

Linda and Collin live in Kanata, Ont., where Linda, who has her BBA, is employed with Revenue Canada, Ottawa. Collin also works for
