The Colonel was an ardent Methodist, and although it is not known for certain, it is probable that the Woods were Baptists. Elizabeth was excluded from her father's will. Records do not show where Joseph and Elizabeth settled, but it is thought to be in Charlottetown . Joseph was a farmer, a ship builder, a pilot, and in 1810, a jailor at Charlottetown 's first jail! Elizabeth married Thomas Charles Alley following Joseph's death at sea. They had 1 son: Thomas Dawson Alley , b. 12 Aug 1820.
