The bridge at Bonshaw is under- igning repairs by the contractor, Mr iMcLeod. It was badly in need of :Bame. The inspector. A B McLeod, gives a good account of the work- uanship.
Mr Duncan McNevin has sold a valuable horse toA McKinnon oi Hampton He has offered a hand- smne sum to Mr Dan McNevio for his well known trotter, General Joseph; but he did not accept the offer, for after a little training he expects to double his money.

Clipping horses is the order of the day. Mr S Beaton is getting his Parkwood in Condition for a contest Iwith Queen Regent owned by Dr Murchison.

BAD FIRE AT BONSHAW
Covered s Large Trsct 0! Country. Burn Burned and a Horse
Killed.
A serious bush fire started in Ben- sbaw in the woods of D McRae yesterday. It travelled across the country to Argyle Shore. where it was finally put out. In its rename it burned a barn belonging to Mr Peter Ferguson. A horse which was in the stable at the timelwas burned so, seriously,that he had to be killed. The buildings 0! D McLean and John Gaudet had a narrow escape from the tire fiend.
A large number of fences were also destroyed.
