The 11 a.m. opening service of dedication was conducted by the minister, Rev. A. D. Elliot, assisted by Rev. Henry Pierce. On behalf of the Board of Trustees, the building was presented for dedication by Mr. Vernon Jenkins, and the key delivered to the presiding minister by William C. Smith. During the morning service, eleven young people were received into membership of the Church. Solos were rendered by Miss Sarah Wood and Mr. James A. Moore.

The speaker at the 3 p.m. afternoon service was Rev. George Ayers. Soloists were Mrs. A. S. Weir and Mr. Walter Burdette. Duets were sung by Mrs. Galt Murray and Mrs. W. A. Jenkins, Mrs. John MacRae and Mrs. W. J. Mutch.

The congregation began to assemble for the evening service long before 7:30 p.m. While in the morning and afternoon the church was crowded, many being unable to get seats, the evening eclipsed the previous services in regard to numbers. The pews were packed with people and every available space in the church, including the aisles, entry and the platform was taken. Even the unfinished basement was opened. Rev. A. S. Weir, Chairperson of the P. E. I. Presbytery of the United Church of Canada, brought greetings.
