Frank MacFarlane
4 3% 3 Frank MacFarlane was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon MacFarlane. H9,Was born in Carleton, on March 12, 1894, but moved With his parents 30 Augustine Cove when a very small boy. He attended school there and 3a. ed With his father until his enlistment in the 2nd Canadian Siege Bagatery in 1916. He went overseas in March, 1917. He- fought in such qattles as Vimy Ridge, Amiens and many others. After the Armistice in 1918, he was returned home in March, 1919. In January, 1920, he mar- lI'led Daisy Howatt of Augustine Cove. They had one daughter, Kathleen (39$ MacFarlane history). He followed farming on the homestead until 19%;), when he and his family moved to Murray Harbour. There he and 18,:brother-in-law Crilly Lea, formed a partnership in the merchantile
