The next occupant was William Ross, 1840-1877. He occup e 37 acres of land alongside the Glydon farm and bordering on he South West River and Harding’s Creek. The Woodside Road 1a through this land to the creek and the wharf. He married Rac .ie Ross, 1829—1880. They had three children: Gladstone, Rachel an

Henry, and they all moved to western Canada.

George Ross lived on this property and he married Lavini Pickering, 1855-1945. They had a daughter Grace and a son Geo rge

Both died when young.

George Ross died a few years later and she married Josizpl Rankin. They lived in the U.S.A. and they had one daughter.

This land, with the exception of the house lot, was later ad le to the Glydon farm which was bought by William Woodside.

In 1904 or 1905 Mark Cole, 1858—1932, bought the house 01 William Ross’ farm and a lot of 2 acres which was next the pom

jutting into Harding’s Creek.

Mark was the son of John Cole who married a Miss Willif:Irrls

Mark married Susan Paynter, Springbrook, a sister of James“ they had the following family: Nettie, Ruth, Alfred and Mele'
