Of these Charter Members, four have been called to higher service, two have moved from the district, and seven are still active in this organ- ization.

Since organization twenty members have risen to the rank of W.M. New Members have been added, the membership at the present time being forty-two.

Three of our members have been honored by being elected to the office of Provincial Grand Mistress, viz.:

Mrs. Susie Moore, GM. 1933 and 1934 Mrs. Janet MacLeod, GM. 1944 and 1945 Mrs. Elizabeth Best, GM. 1952 and 1953

Bro. J. Verner Moore was also honored by being appointed R.W.G.M. of the L.O.A. for the years 1933 and 1934.

The members have at all times endeavoured to carry out the prin- ciples upon which our Order is founded, that of charity and benevolence. Annual contributions are given to the Protestant Orphanage in money, clothing, etc. Each year members of the Lodge canvass the School District in the interests of the Orphanage, the people responding most generously to this appeal.

Contributions are also made to other worthy causes. Present officers are:

During the First Great World War (1914-1918) the women of Crapaud and vicinity formed a Club, which they named “The Princess Patricia Club.”

Mrs. (Dr.) N. R. Bovyer was President, and Miss Lizzie MacKinnon (now Mrs. T. H. Best) was the Secretary—Treasurer.
