Arthur Profitt
Samuel Durant Sr. (mentioned elsewhere) left his farm equally
between his sons, Samuel Jr. and John C. Samuel Jr. remained at the old home.
John C. married Hannah Tuplin, also of Margate, and lived on this property. Their family were: Fairlie (Mrs. John Laird) deceased; Edwina deceased; Bessie (Mrs. Buzzell deceased; James deceased; Louise (Mrs. Seaman); Lucretia (Mrs. James Kilgore) Florence (Mrs. Gordon Wood- side) deceased; William deceased; Nina (Mrs. Lea Crane); and Frances (Mrs. Henry Henderson). John C. Durant, his Wife and family then moved from here to Margate corner and this property was bought by Paul Thompson around 1882. He married Annie Profitt of Spring Valley. Their family were: Mamie (Mrs. Russell MacKay) and Theresa (Mrs. Cecil Mill) deceased. The home was burned in approximately 1910, and the present dwelling built the following year. In 1940 Arthur Profitt of Burlington bought the property from Paul Thompson and married Elva Pickering of Clinton. They have one son Roland. In 1965 Roland built his home on part of the above property.
Roland Profitt
Roland Profitt married Ruth Ann Johnston of Mayfield, P.E.I. in 1964. He built a home on the property formerly owned by Arthur Profitt, in 1965. Their son and daughter are Randall and Sherry.
Mrs. Fred Henderson
The first George Henderson passed this property to his son George, who married Therza Tuplin. Their children were:

Henry ——- married Frances Durant.
Hattie — married Bert Warren.
Jennie — married Jim MacNeill.
Fred married Lila Whitehead from Clinton. Fred purchased the farm from his father. Their children are: George married Rita Buell of Summerside. Enid married Allison Bernard, Kensington. Duncan at home.
John married Eunice Campbell, Long River. William married Marion Holmes, Spring Valley. David married Donna Dixon, Moncton, NB. Doris married William Toombs, Kensington.
