Pottery Making Pottery Making is done by a Margate lady, namely, Mrs. Noy Moase . She started by using the red brick clay gathered from the hill on which they lived, and mixed the clay with some commercial clay from England . Later she got clay from Nova Scotia , too. Mrs. Moase gets large orders for her potato-shape pepper and salt shakers, jugs, vases, bowls and many fancy shaped little dishes. She supplies different stores and Gift Shops with this pottery for the 'Tourist Season'. Beauty Salon We are fortunate in having a Beauty Salon at Corner. It was opened in 1972 and is operated by Mrs. Blair Buell . AN APPRECIATION The committee who compiled this history, wish to express their warm and sincere thanks to the Publishers, "Williams & Crue Limited", Summerside , for their co-operation in its final preparation. Thank You. Any errors or omissions are unintentional and regrettable. SOURCES OF INFORMATION The Atlas of P.E.I. , 1880 by J. H. Meacham and Co. Atlas by Cummins Map Co.
