June 13, 1869 — Opening Service in St. Peter’s
August 8, 1869 -—- The Choir surpliced. The Bishop of NS. pays his first visit.
August 27, 1869 — First funeral service in St. Peter’s Church, that of
Franklin Fay Macgowan. September 12, 1869 — The first Confirmation held at St. Peter’s.
November 12, 1871 — The Burying Ground Consecrated by Bishop Binney.
January 7, 1872 — Benediction of School House, and Boys’ School opened.
February 22, 1872 - First internment in St. Peter’s Cemetery, body of Louisa Ridgeway.
December 31, 1872 ——— The old Parish cemetary closed. Last internment was the body of the wife of Archibald MacNeill.
December 24, 1873 — Rood Screen erected and seven lamps placed in the sanctuary.
August 5, 1874 — The Rev. G.W. Hodgson inducted as
Priest-Incumbent.
1875 ~ Lectern given to St. Peter’s by the Rev. Dr. Wright of Montreal as a thankof‘fering for recovery from sickness during a visit to P.E.I. in 1874.
October 15, 1875 — Girls’ School opened.
December 5, 1876 — Envelope system adopted.
Epiphany, 1877 —- Altar Lights introduced.
Trinity Sunday, — The first Ordination at St. Peter’s, The Rev.’s OS. 1877 Newnham, and T.W. Agassiz, Priested.
