operation until 1974, when he sold the farm to Robert Keir Cousins and moved to Malpeque where he now owns and operates Cousins' Irving Service Station and Garage. The Cousins have five children: Delmer, married and living in Baltic , and the other four, Edith, Darlene, Marvin, and Garth, all living at home, in Malpeque . COUSINS (DELMER and DIANE) Delmer Cousins and his wife, Diane Frizzle ( Rose Valley ), built a house on the on land owned by William MacGillvary in 1976. Mr. Cousins is a mechanic at his father's, William Cousins , service station in Malpeque . COUSINS ( SUTHERLAND ) Sutherland Cousins , son of Robert and Louise Cousins of Darnley married Althea Bryanton of Malpeque in 1946 and moved to the property of their uncle Arthur Ramsay , who remained there until his death in 1957. Their family are Thelma, Mrs. Carl Bryanton , O'Leary ; George, Sandra , and Dale all live at home. They sold their farm in 1960 to Gordon and James Cousins and moved to Malpeque where they now reside. Mrs. Cousins is an employee of Caseley's Clover Farm Store. Mr. Cousins has his own farm in Malpeque . CRAFER Dr. John E . Crafer a native of Ireland emigrated from London in the early 1800's and settled in Baltic and built a house on the property now owned by W. Keir Crafer . Dr. Crafer practiced medicine and served the residents of Baltic and surrounding communities from 1825 to 1857, at which time he went "South of The Border" to lend his services to the inĀ¬ jured victims of the American Civil War . Dr. Crafer married Sarah Woodside 1843-1885, later he returned to Malpeque and died here in 1859 at the age of 70 years and rests in The People's Cemetery, Malpeque . He had a family of eight children: John, Benjamin, Daniel (1867-1951), Annie Clement (1876-194 ), Robert (1860-1932) wife Bessie Woodside (1868- 193 ), William, and Thomas. John Crafer , b. 1859, d. 1936 resided in Baltic , married Margaret Ramsay (1862-1942) and he built the present Crafer Home. John not only farmed but also taught school teaching in Baltic 1880 to 1883 as well as in Elmsdale and Park Corner . Their only child William Kier resides on the Century Farm . Keir b. 1902 a farmer, salesman, and an employee of the North Shore Packing Co. married Clara MacKenzie in 1939, both are very active in the community.
