Harold MacKenzie joined the army in 1949 and was stationed at Chilliwack, British Columbia . He has made that province his home ever since. His children are: Marlene, David, Robert, Edward, Ronald, Glen, Darrell, and Debbie . Earle married Nancy Champion . They along with their twin sons, Ronald and Donald, live in Indian River . Another son died in infancy. Earle has been employed with the frozen food plant in New Annan since it opened. Ronald and Donald are both students of Vocational High School. David lives on the Baltic River Road and is written elsewhere in this history. Jean lives in Darnley , the wife of Archie "Bo" MacDonald. Their family includes: Ralph, Janice, John, Lisa and Mark. Ralph McElmon married Carol Rollo , formerly of , and they have one son, James William. Janice McElmon is a student at the Prince Edward Island school of Nursing. Both Ralph and Janice lived in Baltic , at the home of their grand¬ parents before moving to Darnley . John, Lisa, and Mark attend schools in Kensington . Mary and her husband, Duncan Picketts , operate a farm in . Mary is a former teacher, having taught in several Island schools. The Picketts' have three children: Grace, who is planning on attending Holland College next term, Carl a student in Kensington , and Jennifer beginning school. George lives in Hamilton, Ontario and is employed with DOFASCO, a steel plant. His wife is Sharon Moyer, formerly of St. Eleanors . They have two girls, Tracy and Tammy. As well as running the mill, Bill was also a fisherman. He took part in the lobster fishery and also catching cod. Cecelia has also hauled in many a good big cod. Bill was good at salting them down. His cod both fresh and salted were very much in demand, particularly after many fishermen began using nets for cod. Hand-lined cod being much fresher and firmer. Bill and Cecelia moved to a new house on the in 1970, and later the old house at the pond was burned. HUNTER ( J. ERSKINE ) J. Erskine Hunter , son of George and Ella Reeves Hunter, resided in Indian River until 1977 when he purchased a home from Hartwell Crozier and now lives on the . His children are: Preston, Sum- merside; and Velma, Ontario . Mr. Hunter is now retired. L 68
