in Summerside . Evelyn married Everett MacDonald of Shamrock , son of Mr. and Mrs. Angus MacDonald . She died in 1965. Archibald Jr . was also educated at Baltic School. He later took up clerical work and was also a fisheries officer. After this he took up the fishing industry with his father. He bought a home in Darnley and married Jean McElmon , daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Hunter of Baltic . They have three children, John, Lisa, and Mark. MacGOUGAN Alexander MacGougan and his wife Bell Campbell , Irishtown resided in the Crozier (Crafer) Road. Their family were, David, John, Robert, Neil, Albert, Maude, William and Gertrude. All members of this family are now deceased, many saw service in World War I, written elsewhere, others went to , Maude married James MacNeill , S 'side now deceased. McGILVARY-MacGILLVARY James McGilvary (1835-1906), was born in , N.B . of Irish decent. He came to the Princetown area no doubt on a sailing vessel and settled in Baltic where he met and married Sarah Riley (1831-1891). He moved the present MacGillvary house from Clermont and it was here their family was born. William J. (1864-1891), John (1868-1958), Archibald (— ---------), Nettie (------------) Mrs. Bradford MacArthur , Kensington , and Mary Elian------------ ) Mrs. Harry Crossman , Southport . John resided on the homestead all his life, in 1904 he married Bessie Woodside daughter of Benjamin and Panzie Stewart Woodside their three children were born there, William, Grace and Rena. John acquired 64 acres of land here and farmed, but for many years followed the sea. He sailed with Captain Blackmore on the " Sir Louis Davis ", which took him to the African Gold Coast as well as many Canadian and American ports, he also sailed with Captains MacArthur and Captain Bernard . Many interesting tales have been told by this stalwart and pleasant man, who possessed a very retentive mind, even in his last years could converse with old and young on events past and present much to the enjoyment of all. The MacGillvary home was and still is a place where old friends and relatives like to meet. On this property the old open well can still be found in operation and in recent years during a drouth was relied upon to provide water for many house¬ holds and cattle. After Mr. MacGillvary 's death William and his mother have resided here with William carrying on his mechanic business.
