are Greogry, Luann and Marion, Mrs. Robert Gamble.

SAMUEL HENRY - married Rebecca Gillespie of Long River and they

had a family of ten children, namely - Lloyd, residing in Charlottetown,

married Jean Ramsay, no family. Harold, married Evelyn Mayne, has family of two sons, Mayne and Winston. Beulah, Mrs. Waldon Lowther of Cornwall, P.E.l. Has a family of two sons and three daughters: - Ina, George, Merrill, Gail and Joyce. James, married Dorothy Agnew of Ireland. They live in Meadowbank and have two sons and one daughter — David, John and Betty. George, living in Ontario. Gladys, Mrs. Edwin Bernard of St. Eleanors. Family of two daughters and one son - Arlene, David and Sheila. Ruby, married the late Edgar Creswell, they have two daughters and one son — Faye, Edgar and Colleen. Velda, Mrs. Stewart Miller of Meadowbank, no family. Prowse, married Clara MacLean, now residing in British Columbia. They have two daughters and one son — Wanda, Heather and Rodney. Jack, married Jean MacArthur, and residing in Central Lot 16. They have two daughters and one son - Norma, Mrs. Wayne Malone of Charlottetown, Ronnie, B.A., B.Ed. and Sylvia at home.

Prowse and Clara lived in the home for a number of years before moving to BC. The farmland was later sold to Darrell Lyle, and in 1975 the home and small acreage was sold to Mr. and Mrs. Norman Rylance. Mr.

Rylance. is retired from the AirForce.

BACKGROUND OF THE LOT 16 MILLARS

Alexander Millar was born in Blairstruie, Scotland on August 25, 1803. He married Janet Crombie (born May 1, 1808) on February 17, 1826. He ran

a flour mill in Scotland. They had 13 children, namely; Agnes, born Meadowfield near Kirkton, Sept. 17, 1826. She married John Mollison in

1848. Agnes died Aug. 29, 1885 and John in 1855. Christian, born April 30, 1828, married Andrew McCauley about 1847. Janet, born May 19, 1830, married Henry Beattie in 1849 or 50. William, born July 25, 1832, married Ellen Elizabeth Barren in 1856 in Marseilles, lllinois. Dalvina, born April 19, 1834, married Henry McCaull between 1852 and 1859. Margaret, born January 12, 1836, married James Mathieson of Brackley Point, P.E.l. bet- ween 1852 and 1859. Isabella, born October 25, 1837, married lsaac Schurman between 1852 and 1859. Alexander, born Sept. 1839, married Sarah MacMurdo in 1866. They had four sons and three daughters. John, born Sept. 2, 1841, married a McCabe. Peter, born October 11, 1843, married Margaret Ann Henderson in 1870. Euphemia, born Sept. 10, 1845. David, born March 8, 1849, left home in 1870, going to West Liberty, Illinois where he married in 1877. Another child was born in March, 1847.
