BARRETT LAND - consisting of 100 acres of land more or less, first owned by a Newt Lee. Mr. Lee owned a five thousand dollar Stallion

named Allright, who sired quite a number of race horses. later Mr. Lee moved to United States, training horses there and was also a driver. The Lees sold the farm to Charles Barrett, who moved here from Wheatley

River. Charles Barrett’s son Robert farmed the land for many years. He was

married to Ella Crossman from Central Lot 16 and they had a family of three - Viola, Vesta and Vera. Vesta married Stanley Winchester and after for-

ming there for a number of years they moved to Nova Scotia and the land was sold to Walter Reeves, who married Pauline JohnSon of Belmont. The Reeves sold it to Lloyd Best and his son George, and they sold it to Com-

munity Pasture Co-op.

KEITH BARRETT LAND - This land was owned by John MacKinnon many years ago, also by a man by the name of Rochford. Later it was owned by Joseph Simmons, who married Elizabeth Rochford. They had no family. Mr. Simmons later married Mary Stewart and they had two sons, James and Alfred. They sold the land to James Ramsay, who married Mary Mac- Donald from the Ferry Road, Lot, Io. Their family were - Keith (deceased); Annie, Leota (married to Maynard MacKinnon); Violet (married Eldred Simmons. They had two children and later were divorced); Lily (married Stuart McCulley and residing in Hamilton, Ont.); Gordon, now of Ontario, and Alden, who stayed on the farm after the death of his parents and formed for some years. He then sold the farm to Keith Barrett and moved to

Ontario.
