James Kirk, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kirk. He volunteered and served in France. He was married and had a son and daughter, Ralph and Beryl.
Arthur Thomas, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Thomas. He volunteered, served in France and was killed overseas.
Milton MacLennan, made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Edward Millar. He volunteered and served in France with the l93rd. Highland Regiment.
Milton was gassed during the war. He married Tressa Mills and had five children: Mildred, Eleanor, Elva, Jean and Jackie. They resided in U.S.A.
John Robert MacDonald. son of Mr. and Mrs. John MacDonald. Joined
the Royal Navy as Signalman on H.M.C.S. Carol. After the Battle of Jutland he received his Honorable Discharge and then ioined the Canadian Army
in the Infantry, serving in France, Belgium and Germany. Married Hattie Laird of Kelvin, and they had a family of five: Laird, Blair, Barrie, Jean and Norman.
2nd. WORLD WAR
Willard Millar. son of Mr. and Mrs. William Millar. Willard left home when he was 21 years of age and settled in California where he joined the Navy, with the South Pacific Marine Corps. After the War he returned to. United States and started a contracting business. He was accidentally killed in l946.
Fred Higgins, volunteered for Active Service and served in Canada. After his Discharge he took up residence in Maine. He married, and has a family of three sons, Freddie, Roger and Earl. He is now employed with a paper company.
Urban Farrell. son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Farrell. Volunteered for Active Service in August, 1943. He was with a Field Workshop Regiment in the 3rd Division and served in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. He remained in the Service until his Discharge in 1945. He is married to the former' Bernadette Murray and they have three children: Dwight, Bonita and Barry. They reside in Miscouche and he is employed with CFB Sum-
merside.
Wilfred Farrell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Farrell. Joined the Army In 1942, for Active Service. He was stationed in Aldershot, N S. until his
Discharge in 1945. He married Hilda Muttart and they have three children: Douglas,” Elizabeth and Michael. They live in Toronto, Ont.
Raymond Farrell. son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Farrell. In 1944 he volunteered for Active Service. He served with the Governor General Foot Guards with the 4th Armoured Division, in Holland and Germany. He remained in the Service until october, 1946. Raymond married Margaret Campbellfound and they reside in Wilmot. He is employed with GM.
