Walter is married to Eileen Jones of Charlottetown. He is a retired farmer. Walter formed the Sunnyholm Farm which was bought from George Henderson. It had four generations of MacMillans living on it. John, Alex, Vernon, Walter’s father who married May Rodd of Winsloe and Walter himself. Vernon MacMillan had 3 children, Ernest married to Emma MacNevin, they had 5 children. Sybil who works at the Dept. of Finance in Charlottetown. Walter and Eileen have 2 children, Carol and Heather. CArol is a Lab Technician with the University of British Columbia. Heather is a Lab Technician with the Provincial Department of Health, Charlottetown.

Walter is married to the former Jessie Wheatley. Jessie is an L.N.A. Walter is a farmer and cattle buyer. They have 5 children: Margaret (Peggy), Lois, Wayne, Louis and Judy, Margaret is married to Arnold Pothier. Lois is married to Lester MacFadyen. Wayne and Louis are working on the farm with theirfather. Judy is working at Rogers Hardware.
