CHURCH OF SCOTLAND Many of the residents of the Freetown area adhered to the Church of Scotland, some of whom attended services in the church at Wilmot Creek in the early days. Later some of these people attended the church at Cape Traverse, and also the Kirk in Summerside.
The mainstays of the Church of Scotland in Freetown were James Cairns and Abijah Burns.
FREETOWN UNION SUNDAY SCHOOL John Walker was the Superintendent of the Freetown Union Sunday School in 1919. Mrs. Robert C. Auld was the Superintendent ofthe Cradle Roll, 23 July 1919. The first name on the R011 was Claude Bigger
