2f Mary Elizabeth Rogers (Libbie) b. 15 Feb. 1874, m. 1. Elmer Baker. 2. Joseph Perry. She d. 19 Feb. 1958 aet. 84; bur. in Freetown People’s Cem.

2f Leslie Edmund b. 21 Nov. 1876 in South Freetown. Leslie worked in Colin Wrights store in Bede- que then went to Regina, Sask., where he joined the North West Mounted Police. He served in the Boer War and returned with a set of spurs which he used in the war. He also served in World War 1. After the war he moved to Florida, U.S.A., where he m. and had one daughter. He d. ca. 1924 in Florida, U.S.A.

2f Annie MacFayden b. 27 Jan. 1883, d. 15 Sept. 1941 in Summerside. She m. William Auld son of Edward and Margaret (MacCallum) Auld of Covehead. He was b. in Belmont, Lot 16 and d. 4 May 1943 in Freetown. They farmed in Freetown (west side of code 25) now owned by Elwood Paynter

in 1984. They moved to the village in 1936. They had no family. 2f Donald Ellsworth b. 14 Oct. 1885, m. Mattie Lewis Freetown.

Davis Baker had a varied career. At sixteen he went to work in a grist mill at Centerville, Bedeque, where

he apprenticed to Fred Wright and stayed there three years. He received fifty dollars for his first year, and

sixty

dollars for his second year. He then went to Maine where uncles, aunts and cousins were living and

worked on a milk route, later at a grist mill in Claremount, New Hampshire. One season he travelled widely

with

a circus group, The Great Wallace Show. He then went to Boston, Mass, took up carpentry and m.
