She m. Thomas Vickroy . No children. DUNCAN CAMERON Duncan Cameron came to Lower Freetown to teach school in 1872. He taught there for seven years. In 1873 he married Margaret Jane Cairns , youngest daughter of William Cairns Sr. (1816-1856) and his wife Ellen (Stewart) Cairns (1816-1878) of Lower Freetown . Duncan owned property (code 38). He lived there for a few years before he sold it. In 1879 Duncan Cameron and his family left Freetown and moved to Charlottetown . He became an accountant with Prowse Bros ., where he remained until his death in 1894. Duncan and Margaret Jane Cameron had four children, one of whom died in 1891, and after her husband's death, his widow, with her three surviving daughters returned to Freetown to live. She continued to live there until her death 7 July 1938. She is buried in the People's Cem. in Freetown . She taught for several years and also worked for a time in the General Store of Auld & Co. before her marriage to J. Roy Burns in 1913. They had three children.
