Henry was b. 1833, the son of Theophilus and Sarah J. Clark, he m. Sarah Taylor b. 1839. They had at least five ch. according to 1881 census: 1. Mary A. b. ca. 1865; 2. Bertram b. ca. 1866; 3. Flora b. ca. 1868;

4. Clara G. b. ca. 1870; 5. Amy Ella b. ca. 1872.

J. KENNETH CLARK J. Kenneth Clark resided in Freetown Village from July 1978 to July 1979. He is a lawyer and a partner

in the law firm of MacLeod and Clark, Summerside. Kenneth and Sandi now live in Kensington. Sandi teaches music and is a talented vocalist.

J. Kenneth is a son of the late Leslie and Margaret (MacDonald) Clark, Kensington. He was b. 2 Feb. 1955. He m. Sandi Leonard 18 Dec. 1976. She was b. July 1955. They have two children.

CLOW FAMILY

It is believed that George Clow emigrated from England to P.E.I. ca. 1835 and settled in Suffolk, Lot 34. It is known that he also leased land in North Wiltshire Lot 31 on 1 March 1835 from the trustees of the late Earl of Selkirk. The 1841 census shows that George Clow was residing in Lot 34 with his wife and seven children. George Clow was In. to Rachel Crouch. A partial list of George and Rachel (Crouch) Clows children

Samuel b. ca 1819 in England. He later moved to Freetown. Eliza b. ca 1833 in England. She In. William J. Matthews and resided at North Wiltshire. Robert b. ca 1837 probably at Suffolk. He also moved to Freetown.

Elizabeth b. 20 Mar. 1841 at Suffolk.

SAMUEL CLOW It is believed that Samuel Clow and his wife, Jane Irwin Threadgill (or Threadgale), moved to Freetown

in the spring of 1875. Samuel purchased 50 acres of land (code 72), 5 Feb. 1875 from Henry James Cundall and sold it to James Hiscox, 28 Dec. 1882, and an additional 150 acres (code 65) from John Thomson on

Samuel and Jane (Threadgill) Clow.
