John Delaney came from Wheatley River and purchased 43 acs. of land (code 124) on the west side

of the Old Malpeque Road around 1888 from James Murphy who moved to Wilmot Valley.

John Delaney m. Bridget Lawless, a dau. of Capt. Thomas Lawless, and had a family of four ch.: 1. ley, 2. Jack, 3. Elmer, 4. Mae.

Records on this family are unavailable but Stanley went to the US. and m. having at least five ch. Kathleen,

Richard, Jackie, Jack and Don. Some of them attended school in Lower Freetown for a period of time. See boxing article in Chapter 9 re Don.
