DANIEL DIXON

Daniel Dixon, Breadalbane R.R. came to Freetown in 1923. He set up a saw mill on a lot of land north of the home of Mrs. Andrew Paynter. He sawed lumber here for about two years. (See the west side of code 39.) The Dixons lived in a house that was located on the site of the present home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Drummond (code 73). They left Freetown in 1925.

Daniel m. Christine Bell MacKinnon of Rose Valley. They had two children. They both went to school in Freetown.

Katherine b. 5 Feb. 1916. She m. James Craig, 6 Sept. 1939. They have four children. Florence b. 23 Sept. 1919. She m. Lincoln MacRae on 24 May 1939. They have four children.

MICHAEL P. DRISCOLL

Michael P. Driscoll came to Freetown as the Station Agent for the Canadian National Railways in 1892 and held this position until 1929. The Driscolls resided in the former Smith home (code 74) for a few years where Mrs. Driscoll had to carry water from the brook. They also lived in the former Beairsto house before
