She worked in Summerside at the Sinclair and Stewart Company prior to her marriage on 7 Sept. 1937 to George Franklin Cameron. They resided at Summerside, Yarmouth, N.S., Halifax, N.S., St. John, NB. She operated J. & S. Clothing Store in Summerside

from 1954-1961. Her husband died on 5 Feb. 1973 and she returned to Halifax, NS. where she currently resides. They had two children, surname Cameron.

Anna was b. 26 July, 1882 the second daughter of James and Mary (McKinnon) Jardine. She m. 25 Dec. 1912 to Charles “Chum” Dunbar Taylor, son of Thomas and Rose (Waugh) Taylor of Lower Freetown. He was b. at Lower Freetown on 8 Aug. 1876. Anna and Chum purchased the Margaret Jane Taylor homestead in Lower Freetown (code 47 & 14) where they operated a mixed farm. Anna was very musical and played the piano and organ at the local Presbyterian Church, and also played at community Sunday night hymn sings. Anna suffered from high blood pressure and a series of strokes over her last twelve years. She d. at Lower Freetown on 3 Mar. 1941. Her husband remained on their farm until 1947 when it was sold to John Paynter. He d. at Summerside, 13 Sept. 1959. Chum and Anna brought up her brother John Andrew’s two daughters, (surname Jardine), along with their own daughter, surname Taylor.

Roberta was b. 29 Sept. 1917 at Freetown, Roberta attended school at Lower Freetown and lived with her parents on the family farm (code 47). Roberta m. 3 June, 1950 at Summerside, John Yeo Forbes a native of Bedeque. John served as manager of HM. Simpson Ltd. in Summerside, and also served the Town of Summerside as Mayor from 1978-80. Roberta worked as a clerk at RT. Holman Ltd. and d. 11 Aug. 1985. They had one daughter, surname Forbes.

5a 4a3d2f Janet Elizabeth b. 25 Jan. 1953 at Summerside. Janet is a school teacher having taught at Catalina and Clarenville, Newfoundland. She m. Captain Felix Peters of Newfoundland and they have one daughter, Adrienne Merideth.

Scott was b. on 14 Oct. 1886. He m. Jane (Jennie) Dammarell, dau. of Frederick and Elizabeth (Perkins) Dammarell, 15 Oct. 1913. She was b. 10 July 1889 at Charlottetown. Scott inherited his father’s farm at Lower Freetown (code 52). He farmed on a small scale growing potatoes and raising cattle. He was an agent for Massey Harris Farm Equipment and worked on a maintenance crew for the Department of Highways. He was a trustee for the Lower Freetown School and belonged to the Forester’s Association. He was very musical and would play the violin at community social gatherings held at various homes in the area. Jennie was a seamstress and a housewife. Scott (1. at his farm in Lower Freetown 21 June 1946. His wife d. 10 Sept. 1952.

They had a family of three, surname Jardine.

Marguerite was b. 17 Aug. 1916 at Lower Freetown. She grew up on the family farm and attended the local school. She m. 17 Oct. 1936 at Sackville, N.B., Lewis William Goff who was b. 13 Dec. 1906 at Woodville Mills. Lewis worked at Sam Kennedy’s International Harvester Farm Machinery Dealership.
