William, who was the son of Richard and Anne (Saunders) Paynter m. Mary Ann Hacker (1813-1898) and had three dau. and six sons, Richard being the oldest son. Richard b. 1837 and d. 1898 inherited the farm in Long River and m. Martha Godfrey (1846-1913). They had six sons: George, William, Hedley, Eustace, Chester, Leslie and one daughter, Minnie, who m. George Mayne , Emerald . George was b. at Long River , in 1875; m. Adelaide Bernard , Long River . She was b. in 1878. They both d. in Freetown , George in 1939, and Adelaide, 11 Dec. 1943. George possessed a farm in Margate and lived there until he moved to Freetown where he purchased a farm (code 44), on the 13 Apr. 1917. He sold the farm in Margate to Frank Glydon . George was an elder in Freetown Presbyterian Church and was Sunday School Superintendent for many years. George and Adelaide had nine sons and two daughters. All but one was b. in Margate .
