Robert was b. 26 July 1910. They live in Summerside . Robert was a mechanic and now manages the Summerside Raceway. Mae was a bookkeeper. They have two children: 1. Diane b. 2 Sept. 1933. She m. William Crandall , in 1955. They both died when their car blew up in Aug. 1976 as propane tanks in the trunk exploded at Moncton, N.B. They have two sons: David and Bruce. David is m. to Donna Logan. David is employed as an engineer with Tom Harland and Assoc, in Charlottetown . 2. Katherine b. 13 Nov. 1943. She m. Don Snively in 1963. She has two sons: Christopher and Paul. Katherine is a registered nurse and teaches in P.E.I. School of Nursing. + 2b R. Allison Profitt Allison came to Freetown in 1915 and worked on the family farm. In 1917, he purchased 98 acres of land from James S. Jardine on the Road (code 4). Allison became well known as an orator and chairman and had a gifted sense of humour. Allison was a director of Dunk River Farmers Institute, director and president of the Summerside Coop Association, president of P.E.I. Federation of Agriculture and director of the Canadian Federation, president and director of the Charlottetown and Provincial Exhibition Association, a regent of Mt. Allison University and was elected to the Agriculture Hall of Fame at Windsor , N.S. in 1982. Allison was an active supporter of the Canadian Bible Society, a member and elder of Freetown United Church and was active in many other community organizations.
