+ 5d4i3g2a Eustace Ross Reeves Eustace spent the early part of his life in Freetown. He attended college in Charlottetown and became

a school teacher. He taught in the home school for two terms 1955-56, 1956—57.

Eustace played hockey with teams on the Island and in NB. In 1977 on July 23 he purchased the farm (code 25) on the North Freetown Road, adjacent to his fathers farm, from Walter Campbell, where he presently resides. Eustace has his own business selling Erie Water Softeners.

Eustace m. 1. Helen Hockin in June, 1957. They had three children surname Reeves.

Eustace m. 2. Dorothy Ross, New Glasgow, NS, 14 Feb. 1968. Dorothy b. 15 June 1940, daughter of George and Mary (Arthur) Ross. They had two children surname Reeves.

+4j3g2a Edgar Keir Reeves

Edgar was b. and raised in Freetown. He went to the US. early in life and was m. in Detroit, Michigan in 1930. In 1935 he bought a farm on the North Freetown Road from his brother, John A. Reeves (code 22). Later he bought a small farm from Fred Moase (the east side of code 37). About 1958 Edgar sold his farm to his son—in-law, Alfred Baglole. He bought a house and lot in Freetown Village from Austin A. Scales and operated the Freetown Post Office from 1959-1975. Edgar and Hilda still reside here in 1985. Edgar is an ardent horseman and keeps a number of horses.

Edgar and Hilda (Francis) Reeves have three daughters.

5a 4j3g2a Phyllis Georgie b. 10 Dec. 1931. She m. Charles Sydney Green, Central Bedeque, 10 Sept. 1952. They have two children surname Green: 1. Charlene Ann b. 24 Sept. 1953. She m. John Wright, Bedeque. They have two daughters, Caillin Ann b. 16 Sept. 1982 and Erin Phyllis b. 13 Apr. 1985. 2. David Keir b. 7 Apr. 1961. He m. Heather Harroll. They have two sons, Colin Jeremy b. 3 Aug.

5c 4j3g2a Adelle Wave b. 31 May 1942. She m. Lo'rne Newsome Platts, Searletown, 4 June 1960. They have four children surname Platts: l. Darrell Wade b. 4 Mar. 1961; n.m. 2. Dana Lorne b. 17 Jan. 1963; n.m. 3. Lisa Maud b. 23 May 1966; n.m. 4. Lori Wave b. 6 Aug. 1970; n.m.

+ 2c William Reeves

William Reeves owned 117 acres (code 17) on the North Freetown Road in 1863. Records show also that William C. Schurman sold William Reeves two parcels of land, 30 acres and 5 acres, in July 1850. In 1865 Mr. MacDonald sold 26 acres to William Reeves. It appears that William Reeves may have had different parcels of lands at various times in this area. However the 1881 atlas shows that he had 117 acres.

William and his wife were affiliated with the Methodist Church in Freetown. Mrs. Reeves was a teacher in the Sunday School in 1881.

William was b. 1823 and m. Jane Townsend Rix. She was b. 1822. William d. 21 Mar. 1897, and Jane d. 26 Feb. 1892. They are bur. in the Freetown United Church Cem.

They had at least three ch. surname Reeves and b. in Freetown.

+ 3a 2c Collingwood b. 1856. He m. Rebecca Picketts, Wilmot Valley. She was b. 1859 and d. 12 Jan. 1935. Collingwood d. 1937.

+ 3b 2c Freeman b. 3 Aug. 1864. He m. Josephine George, Spring Valley. She was b. 14 Oct. 1867, and d. 9 Sept. 1948. Freeman d. 2 Aug. 1927.

3c 2c Martha m. Daniel W. Taylor who was b. in Lower Freetown in 1861. They lived in Freetown for a few years and then went to New Bedford, Mass. He (1. 10 Apr. 1941. They had five children. 1. Willard. 2. Stanley. 3. Winnie. 4. Villa. 5. name unknown.
