Thomas Reeves owned a 100 acre farm in Lower Freetown (code 53). It was owned by Joseph Reeves a son of Thomas Reeves for a time, then it was taken over by his son, Fred, who farmed there for several years. Walter Paynter, Freetown, farmed on this_place for a few years. Later it was sold to Walter Burns who

moved back from Western Canada. In 1985 it is owned by Robert P. Burns, a son of Walter, who is a pro- gressive farmer.

Thomas Reeves was b. 14 May 1827. He m. Sarah Jane Strang, 21 Jan. 1852. She was b. 3 Aug. 1828 believed to be in Chelton. Thomas d. 9 Oct. 1911 and Sarah Jane d. 2 Nov. 1918 in Lower Freetown.
