Farrell was 13 years old when his father died. When he came of age, he took over the farm that was occupied by his father and has been successful in carrying on a dairy operation. He has torn down the old barn, and built a new steel barn and other farm buildings.

Hubert was the second son of David Reeves’ family and his farm was on the east side of code 97 along the Dunk River Road. This property is still owned by his grandson, Stewart Reeves in 1985. Hubert was a good farmer and his father David was in charge of building the original buildings on this property. His style of architecture was evident in the building’s that he constructed, as he used the same slope of rafters on most of the buildings. Hubert lived here all his life and then the property was taken over by his son, Wallace.

Hubert and Margaret Ann (Buchanan) Reeves raised five children, surname Reeves, all b. in Freetown.

Marjorie b. 18 June 1931. She m. Jim Shaw. They have seven children: Tony, Randy, Sharri, Carmen, Kevin, Tracy, Rhonda. 6. Ralph b. 13 Sept. 1932; m. 1. Ora Scott, 1 Oct. 1932. m. 2. (not available), 23 Oct. 1954. They have three children: Janet L., Robert L. and Donna M. 7. Clarence Leslie was b. 29 May 1935 at Davidson, Sask. After attending university, he was a teacher, principal and superintendent of schools. He currently is an account executive for Merrill Lynch Canada Ltd. in Calgary, Alta. In 1958 he m. Annie H. Stickler, they have two children: (a) Terrence Leslie b. 19 Mar. 1960, at Rockglen, Sask. Terry is a doctor and practices medicine in Vancouver. (b) Michele Anne b. 6 Aug. 1961 at Imperial, Sask. She has an MA. in economics and resides in Burnaby, BC. 8. Doreen b. 24 Mar. 1938; m. Robert Kidney, 4 July 1964 and have one child, Carolyn b. 24 Sept. 1970. 9. Marlene b. 31 May 1940; m. 4e 3b2f Flora Katie b. 24 Mar. 1904. She m. Richard J. Banks, Freeland, ca. 1920. He was b. 1891. She d. 1928. Their home was the scene of an extraordinary and mysterious tragic occurrence in Mar. 1927 when a violent explosion took place in their wood stove, with fragments of flying metal being scattered in all directions causing the death of a seven month old baby seated in a high chair at the breakfast table. Mr. and Mrs. Banks were in the same room. He did not sustain injuries of such a serious nature as Mrs. Banks, but had several small wounds. Katie had several pieces of metal embedded in her arm causing great pain but most were later removed with the assistance of X—Ray examinations. Although Katie survived and recovered from the effects of the explosion, she d. in Mar. 1928. Richard and F. Katie (Reeves) Banks had four Ch.: 1. Elva b. 1922 and d. 10 Feb. 1935. 2.
