Marguerite and Everett Schurman.
Marguerite obtained her teachers license in Prince of Wales College in 1911 and taught in Freetown school. She went west and took further training in Calgary Normal School, graduating in 1915. Everett was a member of the Masonic Lodge and both of them were active supporters of church and community activities.
They had one son.

Robert took over his father’s farm and lived there all his life where he carries on a mixed farming operation. In 1957 he purchased 50 acres, the former John W. Lewis farm (code 71) and in 1967 he purchased his grandfather Auld's property of 125 acres (code 70) from Mrs. Brewer Auld. Robert and Jean and two sons reside here in 1985.
They had three sons b. in Freetown surname Schurman.
7a 6a5c4a3g2f Robert Douglas b. 7 May 1958. He m. Linda Dione dau. of Max and Els Van Til of Port Dover, Ont. 25 Aug. 1984. She was b. 28 May 1960. In June 1985 both Douglas and Linda received
their Doctorates of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Guelph in Ont. They reside and practice in Montague.
7b 6a5c4a3g2f Gordon Everett b. 5 June 1959. After attending Freetown School and Athena Intermediate, Gordon graduated from Three Oaks Senior High School in 1977. At present he is farming with his father.
7c 6a5c4a3g2f Garth Blair b. 7 Mar. 1964. After attending Freetown School and Athena Intermediate he graduated from Three Oaks Senior High in 1982. At present he is farming with his father.

Major was apprenticed to a carpenter at an early age and built houses in Boston. In 1879 he returned to Lower Freetown and bought 103 acres (code 11) or the s.w. corner of the Old Malpeque Road and the North Freetown Road. In 1883 he sold it and bought 60 acres of the Clow farm part code 65. Edward
MacMillan lives on the site ofthis house in 1985. In 1889, Major sold it as they had moved to Summerside and entered the lumber business.
Major b. 16 May, 1852. He m. Mary Malvina, dau. of Caleb and Francis Schurman 15 Dec. 1936. Major d. 18 Mar. 1933.
Major and Mary Malvina had four children b. in Lower Freetown.
