John and Janet (Neill) Walker. John Walker was one of five sons of James Walker who was b. 1804 and d. 1866 aet. 62 years. James m Mary Hogg b. 1814 and d. 1880 aet. 66. John was b. 18 Oct. 1838 and his wife Janet Neill was b. 26 Feb. 1838 James was a wheelwright by trade, and he is credited with building the first cart to be seen m these parts It was wholly built of wood and was drawn by a team of oxen. Janet Neill was a dau. of Robert Neill whose ancestors came from Dumfries , Scotland . He m. Catherine Scott Stavert in 1820. After Robert Neill d Catherine Scott m. Andrew B. Humphrey . They continued living on the farm known later as the Humphrey farm in , where Olive and son Wayne Clark and family reside in 1985. John and Janet (Neill) Walker had ten children.
