In 1854, Nathaniel and his wife Chnstianna Cole deeded 125 acres to their second son, George Miller Wright in South Freetown , on the banks of the Dunk River . George had his saw, grist and carding mills here. A source of information says the mills were there for years before he moved there. (See Mills on the Dunk at Scales' Pond, chapter 4.) George Miller Wright was born in Centerville, Bedeque on 12 Aug. 1821 and d. in South Freetown 13 Mar. 1867. On 1 Feb. 1848 he m. Betsy Marie Butcher b. 1826 and d. in Charlottetown 1892. George operated his mills until he died at the early age of forty six, from pneumonia. George was interested in his community, and around 1862 supplied the lumber to build the Methodist Church. He was the first person to be buried in the Methodist Church Cem. at Freetown . After his death, his brothers Lorenzo and Robert ran the mills until the widow sold them to David Rogers in 1870. After George's death, Betsy purchased a house and lot in Charlottetown , where she lived until her death in 1892. They had six ch. born in South Freetown . 2a Margaret Theodosia Chappell , called Dosia, was b. in 1849. She m. Henry Ernest Wright (1847-1919) in Summerside , where he was a barrister. 2b Matilda Ann (Tillie) b. 10 Apr. 1850 or 51 and d. 30 Jan. 1939 in Waukegan, 111. On 10 July 1879, she m. Charles Full (1843-1923) who was owner and manager of a store in Pembina, N. Dakota.' 457
